Visiting the Rhododendron Park (Alppiruusupuisto/Alprosparken) in Haaga in early June has become a bit of summer ritual for me. It’s become a sign saying summer is really here. I always take my camera with me so it has turned into a a bit of a photo challenge as well. I never get tired of taking pictures of flowers but this year I really wanted to photograph the park differently and distinguish this year’s batch of images from previous ones. I also had a random thought, that maybe I should return to the park in winter to see how it looks then.
I don’t know if it was extra sunny that day or being outdoors after months of mainly staying inside but the flowers looked extra vibrant this year.
