For the past few months I’ve noticed an alarming trend on Bloglovin’, a steep increase of fake accounts. Most of them are called “bloglover” and always link to websites that offer “hоt sеху уоung wоmеn lоvе sех осеаn саtсh уоu hеrе” or a similar combination of words. What I think might be even worse are the accounts that have real names but link to the same websites. It’s got me thinking if some of these fake accounts are being created with names of real people without their knowledge.

I’ve used Bloglovin’ for years and it’s been a great tool for finding new interesting blogs. I like the layout and how you can save posts in different folders. All that being said, I think it’s time for me to leave. The fact that Bloglovin’ hasn’t done much to shut down these fake accounts is alarming. I’ve also seen other bloggers raise concern that the websites these accounts link to are probably connected to human trafficking.

So I will be shutting down my Bloglovin’ account in the coming weeks. In the meantime I wanna know the ways you keep track of your favourite blogs. Is it services like Feedly or Flipboard? Rss feeds or e-mail subscriptions? or another platform that I’m not aware of? Let me know!
